Carol Danvers Captain Marvel cowl. Made by Jay Micheal Lee who never desires to make another one as long as he lives making this a one of a kind.
Its made of flexible dragon skin so it has a gummy texture and is very comfortable to wear. Cleaning is also a breeze as it can simply be wiped down with a soft rag or swished in mild soapy water and left to dry.
Like most cowls, you can't really turn your head in this you can comfortable eat, drink, scream etc.
Closes in the back with industrial strength velcro for easy on/off.
Its a beautiful piece but its simply too big for me. As you can see in the photos, even with a wig and my own hair to pad it out, it gapes around my chin.
I have a smaller face and a narrow jawline (to my dentists bane!) and as it was made on a standard female head sculpt and not a life cast, it doesn't fit.
It really deserves to be loved and worn. Not kept in a box like I am.
If you have a slight above average or larger head, or have very very thick hair, this piece will fit you very comfortably and look amazing.
My head measurements:
From top of skull to bottom of chin: 13"
Circumference around brow bone: 21"
Jaw bone, across lips to jaw bone: 8"
If your head/ face measurements are smaller than this, I would caution against buying this piece unless you intend it for display
